SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fighting Dragons

This was inspired by the legend of King Arthur... the idea to illustrate Merlin's vision was actually my friend Marianne's, to whom this picture is dedicated. The original is probably 2'x 1.25' big, so all the details are kinda lost... sorry :)

19 Jan 2004	Welsh dragon	Loading... Sum background of the myth this is based on, the red dragon is the welsh one & the white is for the english. The saying goes that however much the red dragon gets beaten down it will always rise up again. Not being nationlist in a bad way. My boyf. Is as english as they go. I love pictures based on legends, & this is one of the best ive seen of these dragons. Lots of power xxx

8 Nov 2004	Shado	Loading... I think that the dragons represent human nature always fighting until they die of injury or bleeding to death just to show the others that that one is the best and will destroy the others to prove it even if its fighting a relative and rule all of the territory
